These Terms form a binding agreement between you, the user or customer, and Selvedge Outlet (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We are a curator of narrative-driven, quality items, and our policies are woven from principles of clarity, fairness, and shared respect for the objects and stories we offer.

2. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on this site—including text, imagery, product designs, logos, and the overall curation—is the intellectual property of Selvedge Outlet or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may browse and shop for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any reproduction, distribution, or commercial use without our prior written consent is prohibited.

You agree not to misuse the website, including attempting to interfere with its security or functionality, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

3. Product & Service Description

We take great care in describing and presenting our curated selection. However, slight variations in color, texture, or finish may occur, especially in our selvedge goods, which are valued for their unique, artisanal character. Product images are for illustrative purposes; the actual item may present minor, beautiful deviations.

• Books & Magazines: These are curated as consumable, experiential works. They are often from limited print runs and are considered final sale unless damaged upon arrival.
• Selvedge Goods: This includes apparel and accessories, often characterized by traditional craftsmanship and durable materials. They are eligible for return under our standard policy.

Availability of all items is subject to change. We reserve the right to limit quantities and correct errors in pricing or description.

4. Orders & Payment Terms

Placing an Order

By placing an order, you make an offer to purchase the selected items under these Terms. Order confirmation via email is an acknowledgment of receipt, not an acceptance. Acceptance occurs when we dispatch your order.

Payment

We accept Visa, MasterCard, JCB, and PayPal. Payment is processed at checkout. You represent that you are authorized to use your chosen payment method. All prices are in US Dollars (USD).

Order Processing & Changes

Orders are processed with care within 1-2 business days after payment confirmation. Once an order enters processing, we may be unable to cancel or modify it. Please contact us immediately at [email protected] with any urgent requests.

5. Shipping Policy

We ship to most global regions, excluding parts of Asia and certain remote areas due to logistical constraints.

• Standard Shipping: A fee of $12.95 USD. We ship via DHL or FedEx. Delivery typically occurs within 10-15 business days after dispatch.
• Free Shipping: Available on orders over $50 USD. We ship via EMS. Delivery typically occurs within 15-25 business days after dispatch.

Delivery estimates are not guarantees. Transit times may vary due to customs, carrier delays, or events beyond our control. You are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or fees levied by your country.

6. Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

Our return philosophy is built on mindful resolution. The detailed policy is available on our Shipping & Returns page and is incorporated here by reference.

Your Obligations & Core Policy:

• Timeframe: Returns/exchanges must be initiated within 15 days of your receipt of the item.
• Condition: Items must be unused, in original packaging, with all tags and materials intact.
• Process: You must first contact our Customer Experience team at [email protected] to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions.
• Costs: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs, unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong or defective item). Original shipping fees are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns.
• Final Sale Items: All items from the BOOKS and MAGAZINES categories are non-returnable and non-refundable unless damaged or defective upon arrival.

Refunds, when approved, are issued to the original payment method within 5-10 business days after we receive and inspect the return.

7. Limitation of Liability

Selvedge Outlet is dedicated to providing a thoughtful service and high-quality goods. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the site or a purchase shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the specific item(s) in question.
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the site or any products, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
• We are not responsible for delays or failures in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).

8. General Provisions

Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Changes to Terms: We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The “Last Updated” date at the top will be revised. Your continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Shipping & Returns and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Selvedge Outlet regarding your use of the site and purchases.
